From November 14-15, 2024, our lawyers took part in the Hyundai Aftersales Conference in Nošovice, Czech Republic—home to Hyundai’s European Manufacturing Plant. Being in this setting offered a unique perspective, connecting us with the people who ensure Hyundai’s success continues long after the cars leave the factory.

Representing our firm were Malwina Guliyev, Attorney-at-law and Senior Associate, and Oliwia Koper, Advocate and Associate. Together, they shared practical legal guidance aimed at addressing the everyday challenges faced by Hyundai’s Authorized Service Stations (ASO). The goal was simple: to help attendees feel more confident in tackling the legal aspects of their work.

Malwina and Oliwia’s presentation wasn’t about abstract legal theories—it was built on real-life cases and hands-on experience. They tackled pressing topics, starting with the legalities of servicing vehicles outside the dealer network. This can be a grey area for many service stations, but our lawyers broke it down step by step, highlighting what documentation is required to ensure warranty claims are handled seamlessly and disputes are avoided.

Another important focus was customer-supplied materials, such as replacement parts and oils. It’s a scenario every service station encounters at some point, but one that comes with hidden risks. Malwina and Oliwia outlined those risks clearly, offering practical advice to help dealers navigate these tricky situations while staying fully compliant with Hyundai’s policies.

Our lawyers brought the legal insights to life by sharing stories from actual cases, showing how thorough documentation and a proactive approach can make all the difference when disputes arise. It wasn’t just about minimizing risks—it was about equipping service stations with the tools to focus on what they do best: delivering excellent service to their customers.

Being in Nošovice added an extra layer of meaning to the conference. It wasn’t just about laws and policies; it was about connecting with the people who are the backbone of Hyundai’s aftersales operations. We felt privileged to share our insights and be part of a conversation that directly impacts the day-to-day realities of service stations across the network.

This conference was more than a presentation—it was about giving dealers practical advice they can rely on, rooted in real-world scenarios they face every day. And for us, it was a reminder of why we do what we do: to help businesses feel confident and prepared, no matter the challenges ahead.
