    International Law Firm Coordination

For businesses and groups operating in several markets - one legal team instead of several law firms in several countries.

We act as your legal hub: we select local law firms in other jurisdictions, give them a single brief and keep their answers, deadlines and budgets in check. You deal with one team, in English or Polish.

    Home Services International Coordination
One legal hub for many markets

Entering another market usually means another law firm, each with its own way of working, rates, language and pace. A few months later, the board or the legal team spends more time managing advisers than making decisions.

We bring order to this with a hub and spoke model. We are the centre (the hub), and trusted local law firms in each country are the spokes. You get one point of contact, one standard of work and one view of costs.

    Trusted by

    Who international coordination is for

    Groups headquartered abroad

companies in Poland and the region that report to headquarters and need one standard of legal service

    Businesses entering new markets

expansion abroad without building a network of advisers from scratch in every country

    Legal and compliance teams

when one matter, project or product touches several jurisdictions at once

    Payments, fintech and digital businesses

cross-border activity, licences and regulation that differ from one country to another

Why do businesses operating in several markets come to us?

Several law firms, no shared picture

Each country has its own adviser, its own report format and its own invoice, and nobody sees the whole. We collect the answers from every market, align them and give you one summary you can make a decision on.

Uneven quality and pace across countries

One market replies in two days, another in three weeks, and the level of detail varies widely. Every local firm gets the same scope, deadline and format from us, and we check each answer before it reaches you.

    Costs you cannot predict

Hourly rates in different currencies and invoices that surprise you after the fact make it hard to plan a legal budget. We agree the scope and budget with each firm before work starts and keep an eye on it along the way.

Language barriers and different legal systems

Local advice arrives in a foreign language or in concepts that do not map one to one onto your situation. We translate it into concrete business decisions and risks, in English or Polish.

Talk to us about the markets you operate in and how your work with foreign law firms looks today - with no commitment.

We are the only law firm in Poland that is a member of Alliott Global Alliance - a network of independent law and advisory firms present in more than 100 countries. We select local partners for your matters from this network and from trusted firms outside it. Our work is recognised by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.

    Hub and spoke in practice

In the hub and spoke model we take responsibility for the whole engagement: we take the instruction, set the scope for each country, select the local firm, give it a brief, check its answer and hand you one consistent position. Local firms bring what cannot be replaced: knowledge of their own law, courts and authorities.

We are not an intermediary that simply forwards messages. We advise on Polish and EU law ourselves, and in the other jurisdictions we make sure that every answer is complete, comparable and useful for the business.

    Your project

    Operating in several markets?

Tell us which countries you do business in and how many law firms you work with today. We will show you what one legal hub could look like for your business.

    Let's talk

    Why work with us?

    One point of contact

You deal with one team that knows your business and all your matters, instead of several law firms separately.

A network in more than 100 countries

As the only Polish law firm in Alliott Global Alliance, we have direct access to trusted partners around the world.

    Control, not intermediation

We check every answer and follow up with local lawyers before the result reaches you.

    Predictable costs

We agree the budget with each firm in advance, and you get one cost statement for all markets.

    Two languages, one standard

We work in English and Polish, and documents from every country share the same format and level of detail.

    Transparency 24/7

A dedicated online platform shows you the status, deadlines and costs of your matters in every market, in real time.

    How does it work?

    01

    Mapping your needs

We establish which markets you operate in, what matters you have there and who you work with today.

    02

    Selection and brief

We select local firms, give them one brief and agree the scope, deadline and budget.

    03

    Coordination and control

We run the communication with the firms, check their answers and resolve differences between countries.

    04

    One position and a report

We deliver one consistent position for all markets, plus a report on status and costs.

    The result?

You gain one legal team for all your markets - without building a network of advisers in every country and without managing a dozen relationships at once. We take care of selecting firms, the standard of work, deadlines and budgets, and you get answers you can base a decision on.

We work on single projects, for example entering a new market, or as a standing arrangement when matters in several countries are part of everyday business.

Less chaos, comparable answers, predictable costs and full transparency. Legal support with business pragmatism, however many markets you operate in.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the hub and spoke model in legal services?

It is a model in which one law firm (the hub) is responsible for the whole engagement, while local firms in other countries (the spokes) advise on their own law.

The hub takes the instruction, sets the scope for each country, selects the partners, checks their answers and delivers one consistent position.

For the business this means one point of contact, one standard of work and one view of costs, however many markets are involved.

How is coordination different from a referral to a foreign law firm?

A referral ends with a contact name, while coordination covers the whole engagement: the brief, deadlines, budget and quality control.

With a referral, you manage the relationship, compare the answers and keep an eye on costs in every country yourself.

With coordination we do this for you and make sure the result is complete and comparable across markets.

How do you select law firms in other countries?

We select a firm for the specific matter: specialisation, experience with that type of matter, language, the absence of conflicts and rates all count.

We most often draw on the Alliott Global Alliance network, where we know the partners personally, and on trusted firms outside it.

On larger projects we compare proposals from several firms and recommend a choice with our reasons.

Can I keep the law firms I already work with?

Yes. We can bring your current advisers into the coordination model and work with them on the same terms as with new partners.

A good relationship with a local firm is often worth keeping.

We then align the brief, the answer format and the reporting so that all markets work to one standard.

Who is responsible for advice on the law of another country?

Advice on the law of a given country is the responsibility of the local firm qualified to advise in that jurisdiction, while we are responsible for the coordination and for Polish law.

We agree each side's scope of responsibility at the start, so that it is clear to you and to the local partners.

We check every answer for completeness and consistency before it reaches you.

How are coordination and the local firms' work billed?

We agree the local firms' budget before instruction, and we bill the coordination in an agreed model: per matter, per project or as a standing subscription.

Before work starts, you receive a cost estimate for each market.

Along the way we monitor budget use and let you know in advance if the scope of the matter changes.

In which countries can you coordinate matters?

In practice, worldwide: the Alliott Global Alliance network is present in more than 100 countries, and outside it we work with trusted local firms.

For each country we check the partner's availability and specialisation before passing on the matter.

If you need a partner in a less common jurisdiction, we will find one and vet it before instruction.

What language do we work in?

You work with us in English or Polish, whichever country the matter is in.

We usually communicate with local firms in English.

If key documents are in another language, we arrange their translation and explain what they mean for your business.

How do you handle confidentiality and conflicts of interest?

Before passing on a matter, we check conflicts with the local partner and share only the information needed to do the work.

The firms we work with are bound by professional secrecy in their own countries.

Where the matter requires it, we sign additional confidentiality agreements and agree rules for exchanging documents.

Does coordination make sense for one matter in one country?

Yes, if you have no contact of your own in that jurisdiction or no time to manage a foreign law firm yourself.

The hub and spoke model brings the greatest benefit, however, across several markets at once, where comparable answers and one view of costs matter.

We often start with a single matter, and the model grows as the business expands.
